We are building a collaborative world and thriving side-by-side in solidarity, nourished by collective care.
In our future, abortion is accessible and celebrated.
The horizon may always include obstacles, but we are building a resilient system where autonomy is real.
Our communities move resources with abundance and intention, people are trusted as experts in their own lives, and reproductive health care is woven into everyday life with dignity and support.
We are proudly part of a long-standing, intersectional movement aspiring towards Reproductive Justice.
OUR mission
EMA Abortion Fund often serves as the first “yes,” ensuring that no one has to navigate abortion access alone by funding care, coordinating travel and logistics, and centering the wisdom of those we serve. No matter the political landscape, we collaboratively build power alongside Florida communities so that abortion is supported and destigmatized for all.
After imagining the horizon we want to reach, we asked:

Our Values
Joy
We unapologetically center joy in abortion access and in our world. We refuse to operate from a place of shame or scarcity. We imagine bold futures and work to make them our reality, and we are grounded in the belief that liberation must feel alive and wildly possible.
Wisdom
Wisdom grounds our work. We listen first and trust callers as the experts of their own lives. We honor the knowledge and diverse experiences of those who came before us, staying grounded in the lineages that have enabled and sustained our work. We draw from the imaginations that surround us to continuously create the world we want.
Collective Care
Collective Care is how we flourish. We navigate the abortion access ecosystem alongside those seeking care and we engage in ongoing collaboration with clinic partners, other abortion funds, and local resource centers. Cultivating support builds trust and strengthens how we show up for one another.
Resilience
We practice resilience in the face of many challenges before us. We have the gift of discernment, which has been sharpened through past lessons and periods of struggle. We know when to take up space to be loud, bold and commanding. This work requires bravery and we have rich experiences to pull from that help us inform our next steps.
Interconnectedness
Through Interconnectedness we thrive and move together intentionally toward the shared horizon we envision. We practice mutual aid, solidarity over charity, and collaboration over competition, because we know our liberation is collective.
Integrity
Our integrity is felt in how we show up for others and one another. We mean what we say. We are reliable and consistent to those we serve. We practice good stewardship with our community’s labor, trust, and resources to ensure financial sustainability and safety for us and our callers.
